Surrealism Now?

surrealism nowWhen I think about photography and surrealism I tend to wonder if it’s still possible to do straight photography that could be considered surrealist. The question will be tested over the coming week as my “instruction” for the Street Photography Now Project Flickr group, here. Please feel free to respond by joining the group and posting one picture, that you’ve shot during this week (ends 10am GMT Friday 17 June).

Apologies to RSS subscribers for the recent outage followed by a blast of old posts. It was broken and has been fixed as part of the (still ongoing) site redesign.

DTP

Falmouth BalloonsSensible types wouldn’t use an unfamiliar new camera for work so I was nearly caught out by a file corruption problem when writing raw+jpg. Fortunately, the job was in Cornwall so I had time to read the manual on the train and the corruption only affected the raw files. Also, I had enough coverage to work around it. This was taken a couple of days later by which time I’d decided I didn’t need both raw and jpg.

Other news: busy with DTP / InDesign work.

Another Day

Green Balloon on Waterloo BridgeMy one day per week teaching term has finished at Wimbledon School of Art so next week is the start of my summer and that extra day should make a difference to something. However, I am down to do a week long Photoshop course and five days in a row might cancel out the gain.
