About Gary Alexander
I am a Photographer and teacher. I have exhibited in group shows and also produce small editions of photographic books. Artist Statement.
I am a regular Associate Lecturer for the School of Theatre at Wimbledon College of Art and have done one day per week for over 10 years. This mainly involves teaching BA level students who are working with computer based design and visualization as well as those who are making short films and animations. Along with the conceptual and design help, I teach Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, After Effects and 3D software. I also teach digital photography at Photofusion.
I also teach one-to-one, helping people with digital cameras and Photoshop and as a longer term, photography mentor.

Interactive exhibits for the Science Museum, London - video editing and interface design using Director (1998-99).
I’ve been freelance since 1992. Before then I worked for Cabaret Mechanical Theatre; maintaining exhibits, making videos and building their web site. In the late eighties I was also the Project Manager on a large CMT art project called ‘The Ride of Life’.
I first trained and worked in Telecommunications, then retrained in Computing and worked for a couple of years as a Software Engineer.
